When Elon Musk dropped a few billion to pocket Twitter in 2022, the internet went wild. Then, just to keep things interesting, he decided to toss some fuel on the fire last year by giving the popular social network a makeover and rebranding it to X. What do you think would happen?

Cue the chaos. Business, tech, and media pundits collectively declared the end for the go-to digital space where the top news and corporate elite would regularly announce their breaking news, sparking global social media buzz.

And suddenly now, every website had to scramble to update its social media icons. If your site still rocks the old blue bird for Twitter, well, you’re basically broadcasting that you’re stuck in the past.

It seems the world’s richest man has a thing for the letter ‘X.’ I mean, he named his super successful space venture Space X and even christened one of his kids with the letter X. Elon does love his X’s.

Predictably, the move got slammed by everyone from experts and media folks to the hardcore tech personalities. They called it idiotic, confusing, and downright irresponsible.

Now, here’s my take on it. First off, it’s Elon’s show now. He can do whatever the heck he wants, even if it means turning Twitter into a digital X paradise. And let’s not forget, this guy has proven time and again in the past. I mean, he’s a thousand times smarter than me, so who am I to call him stupid? Let’s face it, he’s playing chess while the rest of us are struggling with checkers.
